He received his training in Liver Transplantation at Kings College Hospital, London and thereafter pioneered Liver Transplantation in the Indian Armed Forces in both Living Donor as well as Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation. He has the experience of over 250 Liver Transplantations involving both adults as well as pediatric patients. He also has more than 17 yrs of experience in performing complex Hepatic, Pancreato- Biliary as well as Gastro Intestinal surgeries.
