- She also pioneered the non-surgical closure of intracardiac defects in 1987 and, using various devices, did the highest number as reported by any other.
- She completed her MBBS from the University of Delhi in 1965, her MD (Medicine) from Delhi University in 1969, and her DM (Cardiology) from Delhi University in 1973.
- Dr. Arora is a Fellow of the Indian College of Cardiology (1995), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (1998), a Fellow of the Cardiology Society of India, a Fellow of the Interventional Science Academy, and a member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
