- The Istanbul Baskent Hospital or the Baskent University Istanbul Health Practice and Research Center was established in February 23, 2007, through funding received from the Baskent University, one of the leading hospital groups in Turkey and the Middle East.

- It is a multi-speciality Hospital with over 60 Departments, Centres, Services, and Clinics that provides outpatient and inpatient clinics; it also has a Dialysis Centre.

- It has a total number of 126 bed that spreads over various Units such as 21 beds at the Palliative Care Center, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has12 beds, the Anesthesia and Reanimation Intensive Care Unit with 10 beds, the Coronary Intensive Care Unit with 7 beds, the Cardiovascular Surgery Intensive Care Unit with 6 beds and finally, with a capacity of 70 Patient beds .
- It has a “Code Blue” emergency warning system and telemetric monitoring for emergency purposes so that the response team can immediately attend to any patient.

- The Hospital is located in the area of Altunizade, Istanbul about 27 minutes away from the Sabiha Gokcen International Airport depending on traffic.
- Hotels are a bit further away from the Hospital except the Holiday Inn Express and Mercure Istanbul Altunizade that are just a minute drive. Otherwise, Hotels are aplenty in the further NEWS part of the Hospital if one does not mind travel around 15 minutes. Hotel price range from USD 31.00 and goes as high as USD 400+ depending on the location and quality.
- There are plenty of pharmacies to be found within a 4 km radius. The nearest is just a minute drive.
- Shopping malls are sparsely located but the closest is Capitol AVM which is a 5-minute drive.
